The hair

What is raw hair?

Raw hair is 100% human hair that has not been chemically processed. Our hair comes from Vietnam and India and keeps its soft, natural finish and movement.

Unless a product is listed as pre-coloured, the hair comes in natural colour 1B.

Can I colour, bleach or heat style the hair?

Yes. The hair can be curled, straightened and heat styled, and it can be professionally coloured and bleached up to 613 blonde.

For colouring and bleaching, we strongly recommend using a professional hairstylist or colourist.

Please note that hair that has been coloured, bleached or heat styled cannot be returned.

Can my hair be bleached?

Yes. Our Raw Hair can be professionally bleached and colored, including to very light shades.

As with all raw hair, bleaching is a chemical process and should always be carried out carefully. We recommend having your hair colored by a professional to maintain the quality, softness and longevity of the hair.

Please keep in mind that excessive bleaching, coloring or heat can affect the condition and lifespan of the hair.

I would like for my hair to be colored jet black

If you prefer a deeper, richer black than the hair's natural color, you can book our Jet Black Color Service through www.jhairlux.as.me.

Your Hairholic hair will be professionally colored jet black before wear or installation.

Please allow additional processing time when adding a color service to your order.

Please note: Our Jet Black Color Service is exclusively available for hair purchased from Hairholic.

How long does the hair last?

With proper care, our Vietnamese Raw Hair can be reused for years and maintains its quality through multiple installations.

How long it lasts depends on how you care for it. Read our hair care guide.

How do I make my hair last?

The longevity of your Hairholic hair depends largely on how it is installed, styled and maintained over time. Our Raw and Virgin Hair is made to be reused and enjoyed for a long time, but just like your natural hair, it needs consistent care to stay soft, manageable and healthy-looking.

Be gentle when brushing and detangling. Always start at the ends and gradually work your way upwards to avoid unnecessary tension on the hair and wefts. Use products sparingly, as too much product can create buildup and weigh the hair down.

Washing & moisture

We recommend washing your extensions approximately every two weeks, or when needed depending on product buildup and how often the hair is worn.

Use a sulfate-free shampoo and lukewarm water. When washing, gently smooth the shampoo through the hair in a downward motion using your palms. Avoid rubbing, scrubbing or bunching the hair together, as this can create unnecessary friction and tangling.

Rinse thoroughly and follow with a generous amount of moisturizing conditioner, applying it through the lengths and ends of the hair.

While the hair is still damp, a small amount of lightweight natural oil such as Almond or Coconut oil can be applied to help lock in moisture. Usually, a few drops are enough.

Between washes, you can apply a small amount of Argan, Almond or Coconut oil around 2–3 times per week, or whenever the hair feels dry. Argan oil is especially useful for smoothing and controlling frizz, while Almond and Coconut oils can provide additional moisture.

Heat & styling

Always use a heat protectant before using straighteners, curling irons or other hot tools.

High temperatures and frequent heat styling can gradually affect the condition of the hair, so we recommend using the lowest effective temperature whenever possible.

If you plan to bleach or permanently colour your Hairholic hair, we strongly recommend having it done professionally. Chemical processing can alter the condition and longevity of the hair, particularly when lightening to very bright shades.

Protect your hair at night

Never go to sleep with wet or damp extensions.

To reduce friction, tangling and dryness, protect your hair at night with a satin or silk bonnet or sleep on a satin/silk pillowcase.

If you wear a wig, store it properly when it is not in use to help maintain its shape, texture and overall condition.

Taking care of your wefts

The way your bundles are installed also affects how long they last. Avoid cutting the wefts unnecessarily. If a weft must be cut during installation, we recommend sealing the cut ends to help minimize shedding.

Installation methods that repeatedly puncture, pull or place excessive tension on the wefts may shorten their lifespan.

Please also keep in mind that longer bundles naturally contain fewer strands across the weft compared with shorter lengths, as the overall bundle weight remains approximately the same.

Products to avoid

When choosing haircare products, we recommend avoiding harsh or drying ingredients where possible, particularly products containing high amounts of sulfates or drying alcohols.

Lightweight, moisturizing products are usually best. Heavy creams, excessive oils and too much styling product can cause buildup and make the hair feel heavy or greasy.

What about shedding?

A small amount of shedding can occur with any hair extension product and is considered normal, especially after brushing, washing or styling.

Significant or unusual shedding, however, may be affected by factors such as the installation method, cutting of the wefts, chemical processing or how the hair has been maintained.

Please note:
Hairholic guarantees the quality and authenticity of our hair upon purchase. Once the hair has been installed, worn, coloured, bleached or otherwise altered, its condition and lifespan will depend on how it is treated. Damage caused by improper care, excessive heat, chemical processing or unsuitable installation methods is not considered a product defect.

Raw or Virgin Hair, which should I choose?

Both Raw Hair and Virgin Hair are high-quality options, but they suit different needs and lifestyles.

Raw Hair is the most natural and minimally processed option. It is sourced from a single donor, which helps preserve the hair’s natural texture and aligned cuticles. With the right care, Raw Hair can last for years and offers a very natural, luxurious finish. Because the hair is in its most natural state, it can require a little more maintenance and attention to keep it looking and feeling its best.

Virgin Hair is also high-quality human hair, but it may be sourced from multiple donors. It is generally easier to maintain, styles beautifully and can still have a long lifespan when cared for properly. Virgin Hair is a great choice if you want a natural-looking result with a slightly easier everyday routine.

The best choice depends on what you are looking for. If longevity, quality and the most natural hair experience are your priority, Raw Hair may be the better choice. If you prefer something easier to maintain while still achieving a beautiful, natural look, Virgin Hair may suit you better.

Hairholic currently offers Raw Hair only.

How many bundles do I need?

For a full look, we recommend:

  • Under 18" – approximately 2 bundles
  • 18"–26" – approximately 3 bundles
  • Over 26" – approximately 4 bundles for a fuller look

The longer the hair, the more bundles we recommend, as longer bundles naturally contain less hair towards the ends.

Prices are per bundle. Select "3 Bundles" on the product page to get the bundle deal price.

What is the difference between a closure and a frontal?

A closure covers a smaller area at the top of the head, where your parting sits. We offer HD closures in 2x6, 5x5 and 6x6.

A frontal covers the whole hairline from ear to ear, which gives you more styling options. We offer HD frontals in 13x4 and 13x6.

You will find a closure and frontal guide on the product page.

For the best result, it is important that your wig fits your head correctly, as the security of a glueless wig also depends on the fit and construction of the wig.

Please note: Glueless customization is exclusively available for wigs purchased from Hairholic.

Do you customize hair purchased elsewhere?

No. Our Hairholic customization and color services are exclusively available for wigs and hair purchased from Hairholic.co.

Lace glue

How do I use the Extreme Hold Lace Glue?
  1. Remove any oil and makeup from the area with rubbing alcohol. Do not rub too hard on your skin.
  2. Apply 4 thin layers. Let each layer turn clear before you apply the next. The final layer does not need to be fully clear.
  3. Apply the lace onto the glued area.

Use a melting spray without oil, as oil can cause the lace to lift or slide back.

How long does the glue hold?

The glue is 100% waterproof. With 4 thin layers it gives up to 2–4 weeks of hold when applied correctly.

Do not store the glue in a warm environment. Please check the ingredient list on the product page if you have any allergies.
